The details
Every fact comes with what it means, so you don’t need to play to follow along.
What’s in the set
- Jokers
- Included
- Wild tiles that can stand in for others. American mahjong can’t be played without them.
- Flower tiles
- Numbered
- The 8 flower tiles have small numbers in the corner, which some players like for sorting.
How they look
- Back
- Green, solid
- The side the other players see. An even, solid color. It looks the same either way up, so a tile never shows upside down.
- Pictures
- Modern
- The style of the pictures on the tiles. New artwork in a fresh style.
- Theme
- Kansas City
- What the artwork is about.
- Dragons
- Heart pictures, suit names (bam, crak, dot)
- Three kinds of dragon, one to go with each suit. Each is marked with the name of its suit. You can tell the three apart without looking at the color.
- Joker pictures
- Several designs
- The jokers don’t all match. Each has its own picture.
- Build
- 4 layers
- Made of 4 layers bonded together, which shows as stripes along the side.
